Yesterday (Sunday) was daylight savings. At 2am they skipped ahead one hour. BUT not in Colombia - it isn't recognized here.
Saturday the time in Bogota was the same as in New York City. Today, the time here is the same as in Texas.
1pm Bogota = 1pm in Texas = 2pm in NYC
Yea, DLS is a weird american thing.
ReplyDeleteSome other weird american only things that i have witnessed are,
1. our profuse use of ketchup
2. walking into people on the sidewalk
3. homeless people who curse at you when you give them pennies.
instead of tomato sauce they put ketchup on their pasta here..
ReplyDeletethat's weird, but i've definitely had it before. My mom used to think sauce and ketchup were one and the same not long after she immigrated here...
